Azienda Agricola Pezzuoli has been in winemaker Alberto Pezzuoli's family since 1932. He is a fourth generation winemaker. The wines are 100% estate-made, using only the grapes from the family vineyards. Grasparossa di Castelvetro, located south of the town of Modena, is the smallest lambrusco wine producing region and tends to produce the most full-bodied lambruscos. Pietrascura means “dark stone” in Italian and the label is inspired by a detail of the walls of the historic winery.
Brilliant ruby red, lively and effervescent. Fragrant nose of cherry and blackberry, with layered floral aromas. Dry and round in the mouth with well-balanced tannins. It's excellent with both sweet and sour foods and of course, pizza.
