Winemaker Ben Riccardi was born in the Finger Lakes and got a degree in technical winemaking from Cornell. In 2014 he and the Osmote family started Osmote Wines on Seneca Lake. In 2020, they moved the operation to Ovid, NY into an old trucking facility and are preparing to plant vineyards on a nearby 31-acre farm in Burdett.
From the winemaker: “Violet rim and pomegranate colored body and full of refreshing effervescence. Aromas of warmed strawberries and purple violet flowers combined with the earthy and rustic scents of a humidor full of fine cigars. The flavors are a generous mix of blue fruits and crunchy red berries with a brut level sweetness. Like an FLX (Finger Lakes) version of Lambrusco this would pair nicely with anything from salted, cured meats like a beef bresaola to your favorite great American grill spread.”

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
The sale will not be completed until you pick up your wine and present your valid US drivers’ license or passport. We are limited to 4 bottles (3L) per transaction. If you are interested in ordering more than 6 bottles, send us an email to info@nineoclockwines.com
