Marilena Barbera is an independent winemaker working in Menfi, Sicily. She is also a writer and traveler and takes inspiration from both for her winemaking. She moved back to Sicily and her father’s vineyards after getting her education abroad. Her family had been working in agriculture for a century and once her father died, she took over making wine. She collaborated on two editions of the Critical Wine Guide , both published by Altraeconomia, where she told the stories of many Sicilian winemakers.
A fragrant bouquet of wild rose and wild strawberries, pomegranate, watermelon and lemon peel. Marilena says, “This wine is dedicated to strong women.”

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
The sale will not be completed until you pick up your wine and present your valid US drivers’ license or passport. We are limited to 4 bottles (3L) per transaction. If you are interested in ordering more than 6 bottles, send us an email to info@nineoclockwines.com
