Adega Ponte da Barca’s vineyards are located in the Lima Valley in the North of Portugal, bordering the Minho River and Galicia. It is a region of deep valleys crossed by small streams and generally rugged terrain and holds 2,000 years of winemaking history. Adega Ponte da Barca is a cooperative with around 1,100 members and these members hold 900 hectares across Ponte da Barca and Arcos de Valdevez. The cooperative focuses on the cultivation of the two primary grape varieties in the Vinho Verde Region: loureiro, a crisp and aromatic white grape, and vinhão, an intense and vibrant red grape.
Winemaker José Oliveira has been working in the region for more than 30 years. “Vinho Verde” means “green wine,” and although the wine has a green tint, it is named for the convention of drinking this wine before it has aged.
This wine uses  most typical white grapes in the region, loureiro, arinto and trajadura, to make an easy-drinking, light wine.

Notes of lemon zest and green apple with good minerality and a refreshing, crisp finish. Drink by the pool or on a hike.
