Courtesy of Catherine Marshall: “What began as a festive three-barrel foot stomp event attended by a handful of friends on a south peninsula beach in 1996, produced a very palatable Syrah, and saw the founding in 1997 of the first true micro-winery in the Western Cape with Pinot Noir the focus.The aptly named Barefoot Wine Company trading as Catherine Marshall Wines has long outgrown its humble origins to become a legendary institution and exporting globally.After scouring vineyards throughout the Western Cape, the decision was made in 2007 to source all grapes from mostly cool climate Elgin and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley for Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Chenin Blanc and the warmer sights for our red wines.”
Weighty and slightly sweet with notes of lime zest, fresh apples and a beeswax texture.

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
The sale will not be completed until you pick up your wine and present your valid US drivers’ license or passport. We are limited to 4 bottles (3L) per transaction. If you are interested in ordering more than 6 bottles, send us an email to info@nineoclockwines.com
