Winemaker Koen Janssens is a Belgian sommelier turned natural winemaker working in Australia's Barossa Valley. While traveling Australia in his mid-thirties he worked at restaurants and wine harvests, learning about the terroir. After a series of stints, Koen found work at Spinifex, where he met his future business partner Dave Geyer. In 2016, they founded Yetti & the Kokonut and became a cult name in natural winemaking. A few years later, Koen founded Bink as a side project. Bink is a moniker given to the locals in Turnhout, Belgium, which is the town where Koen grew up.  The “B” on the label pays homage to the old car stickers on Belgian cars during the cold war.

Alicante is a teinturier, one of the few red grapes with both red flesh, as well as skins. This wine is big, red and juicy. Red fruits, a touch of spice and sweet tobacco on the finish.
