Juan Sojo and Ángel Luis González are the forces behind Altos de Montánchez. The winery is in the Extremadura region of Spain, where both Sojo and González call home. The friends met while studying oenology (the study of wine) and began making wines together. Now they are the only organic wine makers in their region. Their vineyards are also practicing biodynamic and all harvesting is done by hand on their 38 hectares. They specialize in eva de los santos blanco, an uncommon white grape variety indigenous to southern Spain and is most widely grown in the Canary Islands, Andalucía, and Extremadura. They also grow other uncommon varieties like the two in this blend: cayetana, pardina.
This wine is driven by floral and citrus aromas with a clean, dry palate that shows a little earthy with pops of stonefruit.

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
